OUR MISSION
Our Mission is to make Marketing and Advertising affordable to average working American Contractors and others across the Globe.
WHY AMERICAN CONTRACTOR EXCHANG.COM ?
Why not? We took a look at the overall landscape of what was being offered to the Construction Industry as a whole and decided we would take a run at exceeding the quality and cost effectiveness of creating a Social Contractor Search Engine that exceeded the competition. One of the ways to do this was to create a wider user base...one that includes profiles for Property Management and Real Estate Firms, Manufacturers and Supply Companies,... "The King...you know?" ..The Consumer, Insurance Agents and Government Agencies. If we can allow all these segments of Society to work cost effectively then we are doing our part to help the economy as a whole. Tell a friend!
Another "Why?" is because we can. The developer and designer Steve Valencia with his dedicated team of programmers, viewed the competition in terms of price and functionality and we believe we can do a better job at a fraction of the price. But wait! ...There is more of the "Why?" than meets the eye! Some people just do not like to loose or disappoint family or friends. I am one of them...and my name is Steve Valencia. My father drilled me with inspiration and God fill me with Hope.
INSPIRATION
Life's inspirations come from many places. For me... some of my inspiration came from my parents. My Father was Mr. Thomas Casio Valencia. "Dad!" Dad served as CPL Thomas C. Valencia, 2nd Engineer Special Brigade, 2nd Amphibian Command (Commandos) in December 1942. His tour of duty included places like New Guinea, Bismark Archipelago, Philippine Islands and Korea. During his life here on Earth I had the good fortune of being not only one of his son's but a Business Partner.
"Dad" had a lot of good ole sayings in life...one such saying was "Make a good reputation for yourself Son and you will be able to live of of it!" Another was "When the going gets tough...the tough get going." You never slept in when Dad was near... I believe he awakened the Roosters so the Roosters could wake the rest of us. In any case if you were not up and had your cup of coffee when he walked through the door... "he would run right over ya!" He was a driver personality on steroids.
Unfortunately the Land Development project we were Partners in went belly up for local small town Political reasons...and his literal last word to me were...as he lifted his oxygen mask... "Son...my only regret was not living long enough to see you become a success." And those were the last words I ever heard from my Father. Wow...talk about a two edged sword. Those words cut both ways. So to him I dedicate this site www.AmericanContractorExchange.com. I love you Dad!

MEANING
It always matters more when you drive to accomplish something in life that has a special meaning. For us... helping Americans and this project become and stay successful means a great deal. It means living up to expectations, sending a child to school and having that sense of accomplishment. Hopefully we get this done before my child gets to college. If not...I will send some child to school! Darn it anyway! lol
FAMILY AND FRIENDS
To my Family and Friend... please forgive me for not being at your reunions, participating in the invites or just being what a friend is suppose to be. For those that are close... those events of the Land Development that went sour in Calaveras County left some gaping wounds. Completing this project is helping to heal some of those wounds. Some will never heal entirely. Thank you for your understanding. And last but not least... those who knew my Dad close... I will close with one more of his sayings to me as I grew up living with my Mom in Hayward CA... and you know what I am talking about. If not..here goes. There are times in a teenagers life...when you feel like there is no Hope. Not only teenagers feel this emotion...but many of us do. Right now... in many parts of the United States there are a lot of people that are going through difficult times. So if this saying works for you... please...use it! And think about some inspirational music when you repeat it...to yourself and look yourself in the mirror. Remember to look way down in your heart and soul...know the stuff you are made of... and just change the words up slightly... Are ya ready? Here we go... He would say... " Son... You may not be rough and you may not be tough... but you are a Valencia...and that's enough.."
Well I mean to say... Let's all get together and say... We "may" not be rough...and we may not be tough... but we are Americans...and that is enough!.. God Bless America and those we love.
